FAQ's

We invite you to come visit our school, talk with the Director, meet your child's teacher, and observe the classroom. To make sure that we are available to give you uninterrupted time, we suggest either calling or emailing us to schedule a specific time for your visit. You are also welcome to stop by at any time to see what is going on. However, unscheduled visits may need to be slightly shorter.

The next step is to fill out the registration paperwork, then submit the completed forms along with your Registration Deposit. The Deposit will reserve your child's spot for an enrollment date that you and the Director agree upon. If there is not a current opening, you are welcome to enroll on our Waitlist at no charge.

As your child's start date gets closer, we schedule a Family Orientation time. This is a great chance to bring in your child's diapers, wipes, spare sets of clothing, etc. You can chat with the teachers, show your child (if you choose to bring them) where they will be going to school, and introduce them to some new friends. This meeting is a great chance to ask any final questions and give us the latest information about your little one!

KDA uses Procare and Tuition Express to track and process tuition payments. This service is an automatic way to pay tuition directly from your bank account in a secure, easy manner. If you choose to pay via check or cash, a small Administrative Fee will apply as our staff has to process these payments manually. We currently do not accept credit or debit cards, as that would necessitate an increase in tuition to cover the fees associated with credit cards.

There are several payment schedules: Monthly (due the 1st), 1st and 15th, Weekly (due Monday), and KDA's 2 week schedule

Children 2 and under will not go off-premises (for safety reasons and as a state regulation), students 3 and older will go on walking field trips to Roy Dancer Park or other locations in walking distance.

Parents will always know in advance, and we will never take your children on a trip without your written permission.

  • A secure, coded front entry
  • A unique floor plan that creates multiple lines of sight into each classroom
  • Internal video cameras
  • Strict Confidentiality Policy that covers physical custody, online information, behavior/academic assessments and health information
  • Background checked staff who are committed to their roles as teachers
  • Open Door policy for current families

We work VERY hard to keep KDA affordable and predictable! Some examples of typical fees include:

  • Administrative Fee - if you choose to pay by cash or check
  • Late Pick-Up Fee - $1/minute/child if your student(s) are picked up after closing or after one hour of being notified of an illness, etc. (both are due to our operating license)
  • Registration/Annual Fee - charged at time of registration, prorated your first September, and then annually September 1st.
  • Late Payment Fee - all Tuition is due at the beginning of each month (or pay cycle)
  • Occasional Field Trip Fees: typically never more than $10 and limited to several each year.
