Q: How do I know if KDA is right for my family?

A: We invite you to come visit our school, talk with the Director, meet your child's teacher and observe the classroom. To make sure that we are available to give you uninterrupted time we suggest either calling or emailing us to schedule a specific time for your visit. You are also welcome to stop by at anytime to see what is going on, however unscheduled visits may need to be slightly shorter.

Q: We've decided...KDA is a good fit for us! Now what?

A: The next step is to fill out the registration paperwork and the completed forms along with your Registration Deposit. The Deposit will reserve your child's spot for an enrollment date that you and the Director agree upon.  If there is not a current opening you are welcome to enroll on our Waitlist at no charge.

Q: How do we make a smooth transition into KDA for our family?

A: As your child's start date gets closer, we schedule a Family Orientation time. This is a great chance to bring in your child's diapers, wipes, spare set of clothing etc. You can chat with the teachers, show your child (if you choose to bring them) where they will be going to school and introduce them to some new friends. This meeting is a great chance to ask any final questions and give us the latest information about your little one!

Q How will I know what my child is doing during the day?

A:  KDA is excited to use the Tadpoles system for family communication.  You will receive information on food eaten (including bottles), diapers/potties, naps, individual notes, information on activities, pictures or short videos and notes. Our Teachers make a point to touch bases with families at the end of the day as well.  We believe in open, honest communication so feel free to ask as many questions as you need to, or call in during the day.

Q: How do I pay tuition?

A: KDA uses Procare and Tuition Express to serve families. This service is an automatic way to pay tuition directly from your bank account in a secure, easy manner. If you choose to pay via check or cash, a small Administrative Fee will apply as our staff has to process these payments manually.  We do not accept credit or debit cards as that would necessitate an increase in Tuition to cover the fees associated with credit cards.

Q: Do you have field trips or enrichment activities?

A: Children 2 and under will not go off premise (for safety reasons and as a State regulation), students 3 and older will go on walking field trips and students 4 and up may go on walking and or away field trips. Parents will always know in advance and we will never take your children on a trip without your written permission.

Enrichment Activities vary, currently students 2 and older can participate in both Tumble Bus for an additional fee paid directly to Tumble Bus. These activities are located on KDA premises but are through a separate company with it's own registration and payments.


We have been with the KDA family for 2 months now and we feel that not only do you take care of our precious little boy but you take care of us also. The teachers greet us every morning with warmth and wonderful smiles. They are always happy to see our son and they show him lots of love. They are always willing to take our calls to tell us how he's doing.

My four-year old started when she was two, and she's now reading entire books by herself! A love of learning is definitely fostered in all the classrooms. It seems like all the teachers in the center know all the kids, and it makes for a very homey and welcoming atmosphere.
